The ultimate protection for your products, parts or equipment

Customised interiors

Packaging - crate, case, flight case - with a customised interior made of wood, plastic or foam provides optimal protection for your products.

Packaging with customised plastic or foam interior

Packaging – a suitcase, crate or flightcase – is primarily intended to protect your products or components from falls and bumps. But, when the contents are fragile and have room to move, the chance of defects is still great. Maybe your case is meant to organise your tools or to present or demonstrate products. Whatever your reason, whatever you’re transporting, it’s important that everything stays neatly in place.

Custom made interiors by Faes

A customised interior ensures that products do not roll around, shift or collide. Sometimes wooden parts are sufficient, in other situations plastic or foam for the interior of a case or crate is the better choice. Foam comes in different types and sizes. Soft, hard, with an open or closed structure. Which type of customised interior is the right choice for your packaging depends on the application, packaging, products and transport method.

Foam is most often used to create customised interiors. In soft foam (Polyurethane) and harder foam (Polyethylene).
LD45 foam is the type of foam that is currently most often used in cleanrooms. For example in the mechatronics industry, because the dense cell structure ensures that dust particles penetrate the foam less quickly.
To transport and store your things in a neat and organised way, you don't necessarily need a custom-made foam interior. Divider boxes go a long way!
With a customised interior for your case, crate or flight case, your products are well protected and organised. This way, you transport safely and you have everything quickly to hand.

Six steps to a customised solution

Identifying your packaging needs

A case, crate or flight case is so much more than just packaging. More than a casing for your products, equipment or parts. What the ideal packaging is for your company and application depends on countless factors. Our packaging experts will map out your specific requirements during an intake meeting.

A standard or customised packaging?

Now it is up to us to find the most suitable packaging for you on the basis of the intake. Sometimes, existing packaging from our range will suffice, but sometimes customisation is required or desired. Our advisors will present this to our design office, where designers will translate your requirements into the best solution.

The first glance at your packaging solution

Are you satisfied with our initial advice and proposal? Then our experienced packaging engineers will get to work on a concrete design for your customised packaging. We have our own in-house design office, which means that we have extensive expertise and short lines of communication. This is how we work together on your packaging solution.

Online proofing

Once the products or parts have been measured and the design and drawing have been made, they are presented via an online tool. Via this tool, all project members can place their comments or agree directly. Online proofing is efficient and transparent, and all versions of the design are retained.

Our craftsmen get to work at our in-house workshop

After approval of the design, the designers convert the drawings into a workshop order. Craftsmen then produce the product based on the production techniques suitable for the application. If desired, our production staff can provide the case with a customised interior and printing.

Advice and full service

After delivery, our service doesn’t just stop. We are always at your disposal if you have any feedback or questions. We offer various services with which we can take your concerns about packaging completely out of your hands. We are also at your service when you have a complex logistical or packaging problem.

Why choose a customised interior?

With a customised interior, you can protect and organise the contents of your packaging optimally. You can, for example, work with divider boxes made of fabric, an interior made of plastic, EPP or foam. Foam is also available with a closed cell structure, which prevents dust particles from penetrating. This makes this type of interior suitable for use in cleanrooms.

Foam interiors are provided with cut-outs, into which your products or components fit exactly. Safe and shock resistant. There are different types of foam, roughly divided into polyurethane (soft foam) and polyethylene (hard foam). We are happy to tell you the difference and which type is best for your application.
