This is Team Rembrandts
At the beginning of this year, FIRST, a global non-profit organisation that promotes science and technology among young people, launched a game for which a man-sized robot has to be designed and built. This FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) is one of the most prestigious robotics competitions for young people aged 15 to 25. Team Rembrandts, one of the participating teams consisting of a combination of HBO, WO, MBO and secondary school students, worked hard on a robot, which was presented on Friday 13 February 2015.
What was used
Packaging problem
Team Rembrandts were not only looking for packaging, but it also had to be used as a complete workstation. In addition, appearance and durability were also very important. The youngsters were clearly not satisfied with a simple wooden box!
Packaging solution
Faes was immediately stimulated by this whole project and the cooperation was soon a fact. The students had already brainstormed and offered our advisors their packaging concept. This concept was translated by our designers into a multifunctional flight case that exceeded expectations: a combination of transport means, programming table, robot table and presentation box in one!
