This is the Belgian Air Force
A part of the Belgian Defence is the Air Component, or the Belgian Air Force. This project was carried out specifically for F16 fighter aircraft, which are divided into various squadrons.
What was used
Packaging problem
The Belgian Air Force needed robust crates that can be used to pack protective equipment for the stationary deployment of F16 fighter aircraft. These F16 fighter planes contain very expensive and sensitive parts that need to be packed in the right way. In the past, the Air Component used other types of crates for this purpose, but was now looking for an improved replacement for these crates. The crates contain parts that are needed to protect the turbine and antennas of the F16 fighter plane. It goes without saying that the Belgian Air Force needs robust crates so that no damage can occur to these parts.
Packaging solution
Faes has chosen the SKB Roto-X plastic case for this. This very strong case is made by the roto-moulding technique and is very suitable for applications in harsh conditions.
To make the crate easy to move, it is additionally equipped with two slide rails and a set of wheels. The interior of the crate is fitted with a customised 5-compartment concrete plywood division for structured and buffered storage of these essential materials. In addition, two SKB Padlock padlocks are supplied per crate. For safety and visibility purposes, the crate is fitted with fluorescent strips on all sides.
