Whether you are a customer, supplier or employee of Faes, as soon as you enter our building in Reusel (Brabant) you will feel immediately welcome, because of the friendly reception, the pleasant atmosphere and our personal approach. And we think that’s important, because as a first generation family business we know that whatever business you’re in, in the end it’s all about people. It is with good reason that we are The Packaging People.
At Faes we are of course always aware of what is currently going on in the market and with our customers. This is the result of our years of accumulated knowledge and experience. Yet we do not only look at the present, but also at the future. Innovation, cooperation and sustainability are therefore tangibly part of our long-term vision. The history of Faes
De start
In 1987 richtte de 22-jarige Johan Faes een eenmanszaak op, onder de naam Faes Flightcases. De term flightcase is afkomstig uit de muziekwereld: toerende bands gebruikten dit type koffers voor het vervoer van muziekinstrumenten en geluids- en/ lichtapparatuur. Als muzikant met een technische achtergrond begon Johan zelf flightcases voor zijn band te bouwen. Het stond al vroeg vast dat Johan ondernemer zou worden en toen hij op jonge leeftijd even zonder werk kwam te zitten greep hij zijn kans en regelde hij een inschrijving bij de KvK. Het bedrijf startte bij de ouders van Johan in het schuurtje. Niet lang daarna verhuisde het bedrijf naar een kleine zolderverdieping bij de schoonouders in Hooge Mierde.

1e pand in Reusel
Verdere groei van het bedrijf en een huwelijk met zijn vrouw Jeannette zorgden ervoor dat Faes Flightcases zijn intrek nam in een volledig verbouwd pand aan de Wilhelminalaan in Reusel. Naast koffers voor de muziekindustrie produceerde Faes Flightcases ook enige jaren viskoffers.
Nieuwbouw in Bladel
In 1992 verhuisde het bedrijf naar Bladel, waar het vanwege de groei een paar jaar later nog twee panden in dezelfde straat betrok.
10-jarig jubileum
In grote tent in Bladel op het terrein waar later Rootven 7 en 9 zijn gebouwd. Deze panden betrok Faes later.
